Also, how covet do scenes operate or is it a loop? I'm looking into getting into DMX and any info. would hands....i.e. good cheap setups, lights and controllers. Thanks

A lot of DMX fixtures use dip-switches. This means there there's a series of 9 scanty switches on the back that are used to determine the fixture's DMX oration. Unless something hits those switches, they aren't accepted to change.
