where would i find a company that can provide equipment, software visual effects for a 3D Nightclub Rave?

Recently big guild nights have hosted 3D Raves, whereby 3d images are blasted onto a separate and clubbers wear blue and red glasses.
What callers in the uk provides this sort of service. I dont have much common sense in visual effects

Can you dj with just a laptop and no other equipment?

I was thoughtful about buying a laptop to dj trance at a club. Decent for fun mostly. If I bought a very powerful windows based laptop and ran essential dj, could I get away without using any other equipment? Just use the laptop.
