What is some cheap/good gear that i can start DJing with?

I privation to start like Techno/trance/electronica.
Primary stuff ya know?

well this pastime is expensive so anything cheap will either be sh!t that will break or it will be second disseminate. As for gear it all depends on what kinda dj you want to be, truncheon dj, scratch dj, etc. If club dj, look into some cd player sets...

Behringer is cool by me..(for starters)

What is a cheaper option of record decks compared to the Technics MK2?

I'm in lack of a pair, but I just don't feel like forking out a few hundred quid for 'the get the better of' (despite adoring them) so does anyone know any cheaper alternatives with equivalent quality (e.g direct drive motor, beneficial platter etc) Thanks!

as far as motor grit, and platter stability... the numark tt500 is a skilful all around deck... no bells and whistles, legitimate solid. now mind you, it's no tech1200 so you won't get that kinda durability. but they're a few hundred less.
