My author has been doing DJ work for sometime and recently has had problems with his back. I'd like to change his current speakers and amp with a lighter weight amp and lighter load speakers so he doesn't have to give up something he enjoys. Any suggestions?
I have a few setup suggestions but not surely knowing how many watts of power your father uses, means I will have to confine my response to an assumption. Assuming you father usually entertains for an indoor stuff of 50-300 these are my suggestions:

That is disc-intuitive to good sound. A better deciphering would be to invest in a better cart or carrying system.
Speakers constraint to be made of dense material to sound good.

Are there hard travel cases for Guitar Amplifiers? I have not been able to find any.?

Absolutely. Companies like anvil ,Calzone, they are a great extent used by major touring acts and a must if you fly. I have one for a Fender tweed bassman, one for a fender tweed deluxe. heres one
