I was current to buy him some Skullcandy headphones but wondered if anyone could avise me on whether they're good or not, and if you are a DJ, would you be jubilant with them as a present?

Skullcandy aren't very well-founded as dj headphones,
They have inbuilt bass enhancement that actualy fools you when equalizing
If it's so he can hear to his ipod in style that's great...not the best headphones but they do look calculated.

I am willing to spend up to $100.

Dependsif he is a maestro or not. If he is really good then he probably has some headphones that cost around 200 dollars but if he is merely an amateur then he probably has 30-60 dollar headphones in which envelope you can buy some that are around 100
