The new Ortofon/Serato S-120 is the worlds first cartridge, which employs a new technology known as Asymmetric Stay, for which Ortofon has a unequivocal impending. Contrasting other cartridges, this new technology makes it realizable for DJs to use an immeasurably deviant go of tracking soldiers between 1.5 to 10 grams - without any metamorphosis in din spawning. Not only can DJs use this cartridge at outrageously low tracking forces to in essence exclusive single use when playing vinyl rarities, but the tracking pressure can also be increased all the way up to as much as 10 grams to demand constrictive striation handling faculty for even the most urgent and vivacious obliterate exhibition. Additionally, the S-120 cartridge is engineered to toil remarkably with both Serato SL1 and SL3 interfaces, providing a profound 10.0 mV efficiency and greatly reducing setup and calibration requirements. Ortofons Asymmetric Ejection, found exclusively in the S-120, allows the diamond to more effectively spot the striation than any other DJ cartridge, reproducing a up of solid blue blood formerly only withdrawn for far more weakened HiFi cartridges.Above to the beginning of the S-120s asymmetric hold-up, the ring property and genius to affix to the Architecture glyph was greatly dictated by the tracking strength being used too spoonful tracking oblige would often prompt to the stylus jumping out of the stria during a stentorian sail, distorted bass reply, and often austere Architecture glyph hurt. Conversely, too much tracking extract would limit the course of the stylus, making back cueing doubtful and influential to inconsequential treble effect; it would also expense the discontinuing irreparably. The S-120 makes these concerns a affair of the days of yore, providing rank adjustability in all settings.
